The Online Physiology Course, And Online Physiology Class

Physiology is the study which describes the normal functions within the living things. It examines and explains how organisms, organs, and cells manage the chemical and physical processes that keep us going. For all students who want to attend the online physiology course, and online physiology class, this is an excellent opportunity to learn how our body works.

In this case, you will be exploring some of the practical uses of physiology and boost up knowledge, if you want to expand career opportunities and study physiology. Students between 16-19 are ideal candidates for this course, and it’s also beneficial for other areas, such as medicine, dentistry, other healthcare, and life science. However, you need to be genuinely interested in this course, to be able to enjoy it.

Course Description

Anatomy and Physiology is the study of the structure and function of the body. Throughout this course, students will learn the mechanical, physical and biochemical features of cells, tissues, organs and organ systems of the human body. Also, a student will learn practical applications of their knowledge, such a taking blood pressure, monitoring vital signs, CPR and some basic First Aid applications.

Assessment and Evaluation

Students will be assessed on the following:

Laboratory exercises- Students will complete labs and write lab reports on a weekly basis.

Lab practical’s- Students will be tested on throughout the quarter on information and skills learned during laboratory exercises.

Exams and quizzes- Students will take a unit exam at the end of each unit as well as periodic examinations throughout each group.

Homework and Classwork- Students will complete worksheets and study guides.

Projects- TBA, past project include student-designed lab investigations, poster presentations and student lead lessons on body systems.

What will you achieve after this course?

Students will be able to describe a cardiac cycle, which includes atrial systole, ventricular systole, and systole. You will manage to relate the structure and operation of the mammalian heart and its functions, including the significant blood vessels.

Also, another thing you will be able to describe is the role of the sinoatrial node and the atrioventricular node and the bundle of His. You will learn how to use ECGs and aid the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases and other significant heart conditions.

You will learn to investigate the influence of exercise on tidal volume and breathing rate, and you will be using data from spirometer traces.

You will learn how nerve impulses work and their action potential. This is conducted along an axon including changes in membrane permeability to sodium and potassium.

At the end of the course, you will be able to explain how variations in ventilation and cardiac output work and how they quickly deliver the oxygen removal of carbon dioxide to tissue.

So far, many people who attended the course are satisfied with the results, and this course is excellent preparation for the college. It is usually recommended for the advanced students who want to explore this area.
